As you might know, the last few months in Georgia became full of events that touch upon freedom of speech and media, and of course security of pressmen. In short newsmen who are impersonal in evaluation of the events in the country became targets for Saakashvili's administration. Personally I spent two weeks in jail after I rejected to make some improvements in my article where I described problems of Georgian economy. They wanted me to lie to readers! Authorities put a journalist into prison for saying truth! This is unacceptable and thanks God the OSCE showed its concern. They were silent for too long, many of us already lost freedom, health and lives because the regime all the time make attempts to suppress the dissent. And when Europe paid attention the time for the real actions came. I don't know what it should be, maybe some sanctions that will secure pressmen from lawlessness of Georgian authorities. A good thing to start with, because showing concern and blaming without some real steps means nothing...
