Dear Chris or Eldon,
Why are the New Moons not once mentioned in Torah? I have found plenty of references to these feast days in the prophets and historical books, but none in the Torah. Why are they not mentioned with the Shabbat and other feast days?
If the New Moons were merely part of Oral Torah, is Oral Torah just as binding as the Written Torah? I'm asking because a New Moon is coming up this next Friday. Should I request off of work or is this merely a Hebraic Tradition?
Or are there some parts of Torah that are not written but just understood?
I've been studying and searching and thought either one of you could help me solve this puzzle!
In YahShua,
Daniel
