I think I've been to the end of the Internet and back twice, lol. I agree with 102's assessment tho that it's definitely a perspective changer, this Internet thingy. Because of it, my mind is different than it was in, what, 1992, when first getting online (with Windows 3.1, I think it was). The anonymity deal is an integral part of the Net experience and perspective change, afazic.

Granted, anonymity definitely allows the trolls to do their troll thing with a fair amount of impunity. But it also allows us amusing and insightful posters (heh) to post our controversial views without too much concern about retaliation of other than the verbal type. Fair tradeoff.

That all changes when the Man decides to require us to put our real ID up for grabs if we want to post our fringe views. Zenman will cease to exist at that moment. And I suspect so will the rest of the amusing and insightful posters at this board, as most of us would rather not risk having all the wackjobs of the universe trying to look us up after taking umbrage to one of our amusing and insightful posts.
