Observer,
Your tone was a bit arrogant and that was inappropriate.

I DO understand Christian doctrine, having studied it in books, observed a wide variety of Christians as they lived their lives, and having had good dialogue with theologians. I was in college in the 1950s (GI benefits), and spent much time asking questions of my professors.

I DO understand the concept of shunning, but warn people when it gets out of control. I am a practical man, and address practical situations.

When Christians get angry (many are explosive), most hurl abusive words at me. It's a sort of punishment for my not being able to agree with what I consider an incorrect view.

"Infidel" is one such word. Other choice epithets were "Dog Vomit", "Idiot", "Moron", "Pervert"...

Employing such terms reflects good Christian character, and makes me want to immediately embrace Christianity.

I am not an Infidel. I am a Jew who believes in One God.

P.S. On a personal level, Observer, if you harbor hatred towards me in your heart, is that not sin?
