Some time back, I was reading through a health magazine and came across a small table of comparison statistics on teen pregnancy. It gave a rate for some time in the 50s, 60s, 80s and 90s. Unfortunately, I don't recall what magazine it was and I can't find the statistics online, so I can't quote them. However, it was interesting to note that though the 80s statistic was frighteningly high, the 90s statistic was lower than BOTH the 50s and the 60s. So have we really had an over all increase in teen pregancies or is it just that we are more honest about it now - that we're not shipping them off the Aunt Bertha's in Kansas anymore?
