The starvation in Ethiopia and Somalia has more to do with Marxist, Moslem, or anarchist government than it does with population. When the government itself steals the seed grain and the water, starvation is a sure bet -- with or without "overpopulation."
God says children are a blessing. How man behaves to make life bad for people is not God's doing, nor does it change His blessing. You keep forgetting the eternal perspective. Yes, life may be horrible for the moments we spend on this planet due to human stupidity and greed, but justice and mercy will be done in the end -- for eternity. As Abraham said, "Shall not the judge of the universe do right?"
This is not to say that we should not alleviate suffereing where we can, but we cannot do it in ways that contradict God. Abortifacient birth control is one. I believe other forms of birth control are another.
Yes, I had 6 children, and, when I was raising them I could never afford another -- until God gave me another. No, I wasn't even close to middle class. I worked, my wife worked raising the children, and we all had expectations that included the basics. Paul the apostle said, "Having food and raiment let us therewith be content." 1 Timothy 6:8 He said this into a culture that was far less affluent than the one I raised my children in. Even at our worst, we were far better off than most of the people Paul wrote to. But to recast your statement: PEOPLE WHO CANNOT PROVIDE BASIC NECESSITIES TO CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE GETTING MARRIED!
Which other things that God calls blessings are you willing to limit for yourself or others? Money, lands, cattle?

(BTW, you are right that I have mixed up your posts. You two have so often mirrored each other's arguments in the past, that sometimes I forget to look at preciesly who is saying what. I will try to do better.)
