obviously according to just about any spiritual text, god loves us so much that he'd do nearly anything for us... in my opinion, we are little bits of god anyway, and he is just nurturing us back up to god status over a long evolution.

but forget that... i think maybe you havent looked into the metaphoric possibilities enough.. in my opinion and that of many torah-studying jewish scholars and many others too, the bible is very symbolic... and each part seems to have its meanings on several different levels!!!!!!

so the harder you look the more esoteric the meaning you might get from it..

consider this, we've always had free choice, we didnt gain the ability to sin when jesus died.. there hasnt really been a conceivable change has there?? i think a likely possibility is that the massive flaws of logic that you mentioned are actually the products of the editing done on the bible by the romans and perhaps others... would you agree??

the story of jesus is a wonderful one but certain bits just really bring it down.. i have little doubt that they are only their due to political editing....

one other such part that i detest is where jesus states he is the only way to the father. i honestly do not believe a man like jesus could have made such a foolish statement.
