Ah yes, I had forgotten the greedy, corrupt, american capatalists hadn't I?

I'm not defending Bush. I'm not really informed about international politics enough to form a judgement. I'm defending what I believe to be the root cause of our nations screw ups.

And, if you think that greedy, corrupt, capatalists are only limited to America, you are sadly mistaken. True, in America, they have the easiest time in setting up their companies and finding like-minded investors. Yes, our government is owned by the corporations and too much policy is passed that benefits said corporations more so than the average citizen.

What you labeled as the faults, the brainwashing that we undergo that makes us seek out money in a 'the ends justify the means' mentality, is what others label as strengths. Ever wonder why, even though foreigners hate the American system, they stay and work here? You don't see people flocking to Nepal except to climb the Himalayas. People don't flock to France except to see the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.

Of course, it's no wonder that America and Japan (who's business and anti-environmental tactics put America to shame) have the strongest economies in the world, because that capatalist mentality works to generate huge sums of money.

Finally, just to prove that I'm not missing the point. Humans always want to improve themselves. Those in Nepal do so in a spirtual fashion, those in America do so in a material one. We can't know what the consequences are going to be of either lifestyle and so, we can't judge one against the other.
