Dear Chris,

I posted that question last night.

This morning, during my devotions, The Ruach led me to Psalm 81!!! I read the Psalm and smacked my forehead: THERE IS MY ANSWER! The New Moons were celebrated by Jospeh, even before the Torah was written down!

So, the Ruach answered me before you did, but you gave a great deal more info to chew on! Thanks!

Now about this New Moon thing . . . got a question. Ok, it makes sense that the crescent came from Babylon based off the entymology of the word. But one thing does not add up.

I have always thought (perhaps wrongly) that Yom Teruach was a picture of the Rapture or the Resurrection. The Feast of Trumpets seems to be the perfect picture of the last trump blowing and calling us up to meet Messiah in the clouds.

However, YahShua refers to this catching up to be on a day and hour that no man knows. So, I thought, well, no man knows exactly when the first crescent of the New Moon appears so it seems to fit! You can narrow it down to two days, but not the exact day and hour.

So, I thought, the first crescent of the New Moon of the 7th month would be a perfect picture of the Rapture. Guess not????

In YahShua,
Daniel
