Why are the New Moons not once mentioned in Torah?

The New Moons are mentioned in Torah more than once. You missed it. (II Kefa 3:18)

I have found plenty of references to these feast days in the prophets and historical books, but none in the Torah.

Be patient ... answers forthcoming.

Why are they not mentioned with the Shabbat and other feast days?

They are almost ALWAYS mentioned with the Shabbat and other Feast days.

If the New Moons were merely part of Oral Torah,

The New Moons are NOT "merely part of Oral Torah".

is Oral Torah just as binding as the Written Torah?

"Oral Torah" is NOT "binding as the Written Torah". "Oral Torah" is a tradition of men. Do you remember what The SAVIOUR said about such?

I'm asking because a New Moon is coming up this next Friday.

New Moon is this coming 6th day (Exodus 23:13).

Should I request off of work or is this merely a Hebraic Tradition?

Answer forthcoming ... be patient. HINT: New Moon is NOT "merely a Hebraic Tradition".

Or are there some parts of Torah that are not written but just understood?

There are "some parts" that require other parts to be understood. - - Deuteronomy 8:3

I've been studying and searching and thought either one of you could help me solve this puzzle!
