fa,

Don't try to find out what I "seem" to be saying, find out what I am ACTUALLY saying!

Fact is, if you love YHVH, why would you not want to keep His commandments? If you love YHVH, why would you not want to keep Sabbath on the day HE said to keep it rather than what tradition says?

As for Finney . . . perhaps he was in the same boat as dear Tolkien: he was living up to all the light and knowledge he had. If Finney were presented with the understanding of his moral obligation to keep Torah, I am sure he would have happily complied. After all, much of his theology centers around bridging the Tanakh and the Brit Chadasha and opposing antinomian theology by promoting His moral law. This was a promising beginning which, if brough to its logical conclusion, would have eventually brought him to keeping Torah (which, by the way, IS Yah's complete moral law).

This is why it is so sad that someone like jed smock, with so much good theology, refuses to follow it to its logical conclusion: namely, keeping Torah!

In YahShua and by His Torah,
Daniel J. Lee
