A Missouri company has been fined $6,000 for not reporting a customer's question to the federal government. The question that's punished by law is: Are any of these products made in Israel, or made of Israeli materials?

Supposedly, according to vague rumors on another board, this is being seriously condidered by the guv in Cascadia (Oregon) - (also Howies stomping grounds).

Basically, mandatory GPS thing in all autos that gets read automatically at the pump. The more miles you've driven, the higher the tax. Hybrids (and other super fuel efficient autos?) get taxed double because they're taking away money. To me this sounds like idiocy squared. Other states are purportedly watching this catastrophe...

I just heard on radio news that N Korea fired 3 test missiles: the first 2 were the short-range, scud-type deals which fell into the ocean a couple hundred miles short of Japan; the 3rd was the one that was supposed to be able to reach AK and/or the US mainland, which didn't do as well as the first 2.

Maybe this is the start of WW3. Nothing more dangerous than angry, embarrassed N Koreans.

WW3 & such

A couple of things come to mind.

One is--I wonder if the official historical reference to the beginning of WW3 will be the assassination of the Palestinian Prime Minister, or the killing of the captured Israeli soldier (neither of which have quite happened yet as of this writing I don't think).

Another is--I wonder if the only reason that Gaza hasn't been glassed over yet is that Israel would be the place getting the most fallout.

Hey 102, I just heard about the big power outage in your area. Learned about it on another forum. Nothing in the news around here about it.

It was pretty big apparently, and they don't know what caused it? Down here, when they don't know the cause, they just say a snake got into the the main box, or something to that effect. I don't think you have any snakes up there tho. Korean test-EMP missle?
